What is new in Active ID v1.10?
The latest Active ID release focuses on making the app easier and more intuitive to use. The interface has been refreshed, while several parts of the user journey have been improved.
New users are now guided more clearly through registration and verification. After logging in, users who have not yet completed registration are automatically directed to the verification page. Additional messaging has also been added to make the registration process clearer.
The profile photo adjustment screen has been redesigned as well. The photo remains visible while editing, making it easier for users to position and adjust their profile image before completing registration.

Multiple issues affecting carousel behaviour, revoked passes, camera permissions and app stability have been resolved.
Smoother pass management
Active ID v1.10 includes several improvements to the way users navigate and manage their Digital IDs.
The active pass carousel has been improved on both iOS and Android, while additional fixes on iOS prevent unexpected position changes after background updates. Navigation from the first and last pass is now more responsive, and issues when opening or closing revoked passes have also been resolved.
On Android, fixes have been introduced for hidden passes and for a visual issue that could temporarily leave the carousel blank after closing a full-screen pass.
Improved registration and permissions
The registration experience has been further improved to make it clearer what users need to do before their Digital ID becomes available.
In addition to automatically opening the verification page for unregistered users, post-registration sections remain hidden until registration has been completed.
Android camera permission handling has also been improved. When a user chooses to be asked for camera permission each time, the app now correctly requests access when the scanner is opened instead of preventing the scan.
Digital IDs with CardsOnline Active ID
The CardsOnline Active ID app gives cardholders access to their Digital ID directly from their smartphone.
Digital identities are managed centrally in CardsOnline, allowing organisations to issue and maintain Digital IDs alongside printed ID cards from the same environment.
With CardsOnline Digital ID, organisations can choose the digital format that best fits their requirements, including Active ID and Wallet Passes.
