Municipality of Dalfsen chooses CardsOnline MyCloud for pool passes
New passes ready for the start of the swimming season
From Paper to Pass
From paper season ticket to personalised swimming pool pass with CardsOnline MyCloud
For the 2026 swimming season, the Municipality of Dalfsen introduced season passes for the first time at its two municipal outdoor swimming pools, Gerner in Dalfsen and De Meule in Nieuwleusen. The new personalised passes replace the previous paper season tickets.
With one season pass, residents can visit both swimming pools. To centrally manage passholder data and produce the new passes, the municipality chose CardsOnline MyCloud.

The Challenge
New passes ready for the start of the swimming season
For the 2026 swimming season, the Municipality of Dalfsen wanted to replace paper season tickets with personalised swimming pool passes.
The municipality needed a solution that would allow it to centrally manage the data of thousands of passholders while also producing new passes locally.
The schedule made the introduction particularly challenging. The two outdoor swimming pools opened on 25 April, and a large number of new passes needed to be available before the start of the season.
The Solution
Central management with CardsOnline MyCloud
The Municipality of Dalfsen selected CardsOnline MyCloud as its central environment for managing passholders and producing personalised swimming pool passes.
The MyCloud environment was configured for 4,000 records. During implementation, the card design, required data fields and production process were coordinated together with the municipality.
For local card production, a dual-sided Magicard 300 card printer was supplied. With blank PVC cards and the required colour ribbons, the municipality can independently produce new and replacement swimming pool passes.
When it became clear during the project that the required number of records and passes was higher than initially expected, the environment was scaled up and additional cards and ribbons were supplied.
The Result
One pass for Gerner and De Meule
The Municipality of Dalfsen now has one central MyCloud environment for managing and producing its swimming pool passes. Visitors use their personalised season pass at both Gerner swimming pool in Dalfsen and De Meule in Nieuwleusen.
Following the initial large production run, the municipality can independently produce new and replacement passes locally. MyCloud can also grow with changing requirements. Following implementation, an additional data field was added and incorporated into the card layout.

Production support for a timely start
At the start of the project, a large number of existing paper season tickets needed to be replaced with new personalised passes within a short period of time.
To support the municipality within the available timeframe, ScreenCheck handled part of the initial card production. Approximately 2,000 swimming pool passes were produced by ScreenCheck and delivered directly to Dalfsen.
This ensured that the passes were available in time for the launch. The municipality could then take over further card production independently using its own Magicard 300 card printer.
